Explore the technical specifications for delivery of NAVEX’s online compliance training. Implementation is quick and easy to configure since most organizations already have the software and computer requirements necessary for effective delivery.

Today, NAVEX offers multiple course players, each with specific technical requirements. 

ADAPT1 or RCP2 Courseware Technical Requirements

Supported environment - desktop

  • Operating Systems: Windows 10+, macOS 10.14+

  •  Browsers: Firefox – latest version, Chrome – latest version Edge – latest version, Safari (Mac only)– latest version

  •  JavaScript: Enabled

  •  Audio and Video Versions require a sound card and speaker or headphones1024x770 or higher monitor resolution

  • Video Mode: 5 Mbps or faster, stable internet connection (modem, Ethernet, or wireless network adapter required)

    • Audio mode: 3 Mbps
    • Silent mode: 2 Mbps

Supported environment - mobile

  • Operating Systems: Android 11.x+, iOS 15.x+
  • Minimum screen size: 4”
  • Wireless Video Mode: 5 Mbps or faster, stable internet connection
  • Audio mode: 3 Mbps
  • Silent mode: 2 Mbps
  • Mobile: Full strength 4G LTE

MCP3 Courseware Technical Requirements

Supported environment - desktop

  • As above and:

    • Browser zoom settings and Desktop Display Settings should be no more than 100%

Supported environment to run courses - mobile

  • Operating Systems: Android 11.x+, iOS 15.x+
  • Minimum screen size: 8.5”
  • Wireless Video Mode: 5 Mbps or faster, stable internet connection
  • Audio mode: 3 Mbps
  • Silent mode: 2 Mbps
  • Mobile: Full strength 4G LTE

1 ADAPT COURSEWARE WAS FIRST RELEASED IN 2022 AND IS SHORT FOR ‘ADAPTIVE’. COURSES IN THE ADAPT FORMAT ARE OPTIMIZED TO WORK WITH SCREEN READERS AND CAN BE NAVIGATED VIA KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS. DEPENDING ON COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS, CUSTOMERS MAY BE ABLE TO SELECT ‘TEST-OUT’ OPTIONS FOR THESE COURSES TO ALLOW FOR A NIMBLER TRAINING EXPERIENCE.

2 RCP (RESPONSIVE COURSE PLAYER) WAS FIRST RELEASED IN 2017 FOR OUR RICH MEDIA COURSES. IMPROVEMENTS TO THE COURSE PLAYER TECHNOLOGY WERE MADE SO THAT COURSES WERE COMPATIBLE ON PHONES, AS WELL AS TABLETS, AND THAT THE COURSE WOULD BE RESPONSIVE TO THE WINDOW SIZE.

3 MCP (MASTER COURSE PLAYER) WAS NAVEX’S ORIGINAL COURSE PLAYER - RELEASED IN 2012 - THAT SUPPORTED VIDEO, AND LATER MIGRATED VECTOR COURSE CONTENT. ORIGINALLY BUILT TO SUPPORT FLASH INFRASTRUCTURE, THE COURSE PLAYER WAS LATER UPDATED TO ALLOW FOR HTML5 AND LIMITED MOBILE VIEWING.
