Position Summary:

As our Sales Learning & Development Manager, you will be responsible for ongoing training and learning and development of the Sales team working closely with our new hires and existing sales organization.  This role will help to create content as well as to maximize sales effectiveness by determining and solving training needs across the organization. The development will be closely aligned with business initiatives and objectives of NAVEX. Learning begins with onboarding new sales professionals and extends to ongoing development of both sales professionals and other customer facing personnel. This includes needs analysis, design development and deployment of training. 

You will directly influence our ability to continue making a positive impact in the world by preparing and empowering our Sales team and other customer facing personnel to effectively sell our products and services! What You Will Do:

New Hire Training (50% Time):

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive new hire onboarding programs for sales professionals with continuous collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between sales onboarding and other departmental orientations

  • Continuously assess and refine onboarding materials with the Instructional Designer, to ensure they reflect the latest industry trends and company offerings

  • Own the responsibility of coaching and mentoring our new hires until they have completed their certifications

Continuous Training (30% Time):

  • Own and facilitate bi-weekly All-Sales Training calls, ensuring they are engaging, informative, and tailored to the needs of the whole sales team. Coordinate guest speakers and subject matter experts when appropriate to provide additional insights and perspectives

  • Collaborate with the sales organization to identify areas of opportunity for skill development

  • Own and deliver new sales teams initiatives that support the company’s strategic vision

  • Analyze sales performance data and feedback to recommend training and development initiatives to address skill gaps

Curriculum Development (20% Time):

  • Partner with the Instructional Designer to create, update, and enhance training materials, resources, and e-learning modules

  • Ensure that all training content aligns with our company goals, strategies, and the evolving needs of our customers

  • Additional items to increase team and business success may be requested as needed

What You Will Need:

  • A Bachelor’s degree and prior work related experience or equivalent

  • 5+ years’ experience in a combination of Sales Training and/or B2B selling experience; ideal candidate will have held a Training or SaaS based sales role.

  • Strong sales, people leadership and project management skills

  • Strong business management skills and experience delivering training on sales consulting methodologies, such as strategic selling, Miller Heiman, Solution Selling, SPIN or Challenger

  • Knowledge of Salesforce (or other CRM), MS Office and conferencing platforms

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines while managing competing priorities. Flexibility and the ability to quickly make changes is key

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, presentations skills and a commitment to collaborate with people across a variety of levels with diverse backgrounds

  • The starting pay range for this role is $100,000+ per annum.

  • Pay progression is based on performance.
